Drawing on nearly two decades of enameling experience, I specialize in torch and kiln firing with an emphasis on alternative practices and opaque enamels. My Background
I have been enameling since 2006 and have received formal training in the field. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Material Studies with a focus on Metals from Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, I completed a two-year fellowship at Penland School of Craft, where I studied under various enamellists, and participated in an intensive two-month residency dedicated entirely to enameling. I later obtained my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Metal at New Paltz, where my first year research centered on enameling three-dimensional forms. I have also taught enameling workshops at Penland School of Craft, North Seattle College, Danaca Design, and Northwind Art.
